1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use browser "local storage" for a couple of preferences. Together they let the site remember you between visits and keep your settings.

2. Essential cookies

These are required for MINE to work and cannot be switched off. They handle secure login and keeping you signed in, the shopping cart and checkout, and security (such as form protection). Without them you could not log in or buy a course.

3. Preference storage

We remember two choices you make so the site feels right for you:

  • Dark / light mode — stored under "mineTheme" so your theme choice sticks.
  • Language (Arabic / English) — remembered from the ?lang setting.
  • Cookie-notice dismissal — stored under "mineCookies" so the bottom banner stays hidden after you close it.
  • Question-bank hub selection — a short-lived cookie ("mine_hub_sel") that remembers where you were browsing courses.

4. Analytics

We use lightweight, privacy-friendly analytics to understand how many students use the platform and which pages are popular. This helps us improve MINE. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. How to control cookies

You are in control:

  • You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time — note that blocking essential cookies will stop you logging in.
  • You can reset your dark-mode / language choices from the toggles in the site header.
  • Most browsers let you browse in a private / incognito window that clears cookies when you close it.
